The Vega Beam Expander family consists of all Galilean designs that are designed and toleranced to prevent any internal ghost images on lens element surfaces, enabling their use in high-power applications. All Vega Beam Expander lens elements are made of fused silica, which combined with laser grade coatings, result in high laser induced damage thresholds. Vega Beam Expanders also feature rotating optics for beam expander adjustment. For higher precision applications where non-rotating optics are required, Edmund Optics offers TECHSPEC Dranconis Beam Expanders. TECHSPEC Vega Beam Expanders are available in many broadband and laser line options including the nd YAG harmonics for a variety of popular wavelengths. they feature lambda over 10 transmitted wave fronts for minimal wavefront distortion, enabling their use in high precision applications. in addition to the m30 threads, located at the end of the beam expander, various mounting thread adapters make these easy to integrate into any system configuration.
