Marisa Edmund

Chairman of the Board
& CEO

As Chairman of the Board and CEO of Edmund Optics, Marisa Edmund combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership. Mari is the granddaughter of the founder, Norman Edmund, and has been active in the company for more than 25 years. During this time, Marisa has driven global growth with a strong focus on Marketing, Sales, and HR, advanced the company’s digital transformation, and led multiple post-acquisition integrations. She is the third generation of the family to lead the company.

In addition to her long-standing impact at Edmund Optics, she holds degrees from Georgetown University and Stockton University, is a Senior Member of SPIE, and currently serves as an elected director on the Board of OPTICA.

Jeff Harvey

Jeff Harvey is Chief Operating Officer at Edmund Optics, leading the company’s cross-functional transformation and operational strategy. With more than 25 years at the company, he brings deep institutional knowledge and leadership experience across nearly every part of the business, having previously served as Chief Innovation Officer, Executive Vice President of Operations, and in key roles across IS/IT, Service and Inventory Management, and Supply Chain. In his current role, he oversees modernization, quality, sustainability, digitalization, and the seamless execution of the company’s global operations.

James Fisher

Development Officer

James Fisher is a senior executive with over 25 years of leadership in the photonics industry, driving revenue growth, market expansion, and transformative brand strategies. He has a proven track record of aligning commercial, operational, and engineering teams to capture emerging market opportunities and deliver sustained business performance. Prior to joining the executive team at Edmund Optics, James served on its Board of Directors for four years. While serving on the Edmund Optics board, James also led global sales and marketing for Micrometals, Inc., where he optimized the company’s global distribution network and implemented strategic digital initiatives, including engineering analysis software, to deepen customer engagement and accelerate sales. Earlier in his career, he held senior management roles at Newport Corporation, where he led the global Photonics Group, directed complex marketing and operational transformations, and oversaw the conception, development, and launch of multiple industry-defining product platforms. These innovations included the patented, actively damped SmartTable, the Vision IsoStation workstation, OpticsCage+, and Newport’s M Series and ZeroDrift optical mounts. James is also a named inventor on five patents in the photonics space.

Recognized for his ability to combine technical insight with strategic foresight, James excels at building high-performance teams, leading cross-functional initiatives, and translating market needs into innovative, profitable solutions. A fun fact, for the final 10 seasons of television’s “The Big Bang Theory”, James served as a technical consultant and constructed the laser experiments featured in Leonard’s Lab.  He is also an avid motorcyclist and movie fan.

Judy Kelley is Chief Human Resources Officer at Edmund Optics, leading global HR strategy and operations across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.  She is a strategic HR executive with deep expertise in talent strategy, organizational transformation, leadership development, and change management across global organizations. With senior leadership experience at companies including Acadia Pharmaceuticals, Bristol Myers Squibb, Merck, and Chubb, Judy’s focus lays on building high-performing teams, strengthening leadership capabilities, and driving business growth through people-focused strategies.

Ed Manley is Chief Financial Officer of Edmund Optics leading the company’s global finance organization and driving initiatives across transformation, operational excellence, and strategic growth. His focus includes strengthening financial processes, supporting global expansion, and partnering across the business to enhance performance and long-term value creation. Ed brings more than 30 years of international finance leadership experience, including roles guiding M&A, ERP implementations, and operational improvements across manufacturing and technology-driven companies.

Nicole Edmund

Nicole Edmund joined the Board in 2023 and serves as Co-Chair of the Edmund Family Council. With a 25-year career as an artist, designer, and former VP of Sales & Marketing, she brings deep brand insight and creative vision to Edmund Optics. As the designer of the company’s annual report since 2005, Nicole ensures the visual identity reflects both innovation and legacy. She is a practicing fine artist, educator, and owner of Bear Run Farms. Nicole holds a BSBA from Georgetown and has completed governance programs at Harvard and Kellogg.

Kendra Brill

Kendra Brill is a serial entrepreneur and EOS Implementer, coaching executive teams nationwide to drive clarity, accountability, and growth. Formerly Managing Director of a New Jersey family office venture portfolio, she has guided startups across energy, health tech, transportation, software, and consumer goods. She also founded two nonprofits. Kendra serves on several boards and holds degrees from Harvard Business School (CORe), American University (M.A.), and Rollins College (B.A.). Her work blends strategy, heart, and impact across sectors.

Ulrich Schneider

Ulrich Schneider brings over two decades of experience managing global production operations in the lighting and optics industries. Currently with SSW Advanced Technologies, he has held leadership roles at Schott, MKS Instruments, Carl Zeiss Vision, and Hella. Ulrich’s expertise lies in aligning complex, international production with sales strategy to drive growth and profitability. He holds a Dipl.-Wirtschaftsing. from the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg and an M.S. in Organizational Change and Leadership from Pfeiffer University. He is a member of SPIE, ASCM, and VDI.

Marisa Edmund

Jeff Parker

Jeff Parker brings over 35 years of global experience driving growth at MKS Instruments and Newport Corporation. He has led business transformation across industries including semiconductors, telecom, life sciences, and defense. At Newport, he scaled the OEM business from startup to $100M in revenue; at MKS, he boosted bookings by 70% to over $1B in six years. Jeff excels in strategy, M&A, team building, and execution. He serves on multiple boards and advisory roles and holds a BS in Optics from the University of Rochester and governance training from Wharton.

Jeff Moore

Jeff Moore is a technology executive with 20+ years leading high-impact teams at Uber, Amazon, and Anheuser-Busch. He specializes in scalable systems, marketplace innovation, and automation. At Uber, he leads engineering for Delivery, Ads, and Uber for Business, with a focus on platform efficiency and product breakthroughs like Uber Teens. At Amazon, he was a founding leader of Fulfillment by Amazon and helped scale Alexa. Jeff holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a BS in Computer Information Systems. He is a named inventor on several U.S. patents.

Karen Buck

Karen Buck is a financial services executive and Chief Administrative Officer at EagleBank, where she leads digital, consumer, and people strategies. Previously, she was EVP and special advisor to the CEO at New York Community Bank/Flagstar, overseeing bank integration and conversion. At TD Bank, she led 2,000+ employees across commercial, retail, and payments. Karen’s global career spans four countries and multiple segments. She’s a recognized industry leader and advocate for women in finance, with honors from Crain’s, American Banker, and NJBIZ. She holds a BS in Finance and Spanish from La Salle University.

Dr. Eugene Arthurs

Eugene Arthurs brings decades of experience in leading and scaling optics and photonics companies worldwide. He co-founded Andor Technology and held executive roles at Quantronix, Oriel, ThermoElectron, and Gooch & Housego. As CEO of SPIE, he transformed the organization by establishing global conferences like Photonics West, expanding its digital publishing, and significantly growing its financial reserves. He holds a PhD in Applied Physics from Queen’s University Belfast and remains active in the field through advisory roles and fellowships with Optica, SPIE, and the Chinese Optical Society.

The Family Council

Edmund Optics is proud to be a family-owned company led by Marisa Edmund, granddaughter of the founder, Norman Edmund. Edmund Optics’ Family Council, spanning multiple generations, provides the family a voice and insight into the company’s activities, contributing guidance for long-term success. Nicole Edmund represents the Council on the Board of Directors, connecting family legacy with corporate governance.
