Hamamatsu PbS and PbSe Photoconductive Detectors are infrared sensors designed for room temperature operation within a variety of devices including radiation thermometers or flame monitors. Hamamatsu PbS Detectors feature a spectral response range from 1 – 3.2μm, while Hamamatsu PbSe Detectors feature a spectral response range of 1.5 – 5.2μm. Whereas PbS detectors are ideal for narrow spectral ranges, PbSe detectors feature a wider spectral range, higher sensitivity, high-speed response time, and are available with TE cooling for improved signal-to-noise ratio, making PbSe detectors more applicable for integration into analytical equipment or for use in precision photometry applications.
