Etaluma Digital Inverted Microscopes represent a simplified approach to inverted microscopy by providing high resolution widefield imaging with high sensitivity. These fully digital microscopes are connected via USB to a Windows computer, giving both power and communication to acquire images, time-lapse series, and live videos for viewing on the monitor. The Lumascope (LS) 560 features a 488nm LED excitation for FITC and GFP fluorescence imaging plus brightfield, while the LS460 is used for brightfield imaging without fluorescence. Both models can be outfitted with the optional Phase Contrast Accessory that utilizes an Olympus phase contrast condenser. Etaluma Digital Inverted Microscopes can be used with standard objectives (RMS-threaded, 45mm par focal, and infinity-corrected) from 1.25X to 100X, including oil and water immersion (sold separately). Typical applications include benchtop microscopy and long-term time-lapse of cell behavior inside cell culture incubators. The LS560 and LS460 include a 1700 x 1700 pixel monochrome CMOS sensor and Lumaview software that provides microscope control and image/video acquisition.
Note: A Manual XY Stage is available for easy positioning of labware on the deck. Compatible labware includes slides, Petri dishes, flasks, microplates, and custom microfluidic chambers.
