Laser beam shaping is critical for redistributing laser irradiance to achieve a desired effect in laser systems. Understanding how to properly shape your laser beam can help you maximize performance whether your system is for laser materials processing, medical systems, laser communications, or other laser applications.
Join us for a two-part webinar series presented by Edmund Optics' experts and our technical partners in the industry.
We invite you to attend this 45-minute webinar on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 presented by Mary Turner, Technical Fellow at Edmund Optics® Tucson; Victoria Marcune, Product Support Engineer at Edmund Optics Tucson; and Sergey Antipov, Founder of Palm Scientific and Director of the Radiation Sources Department at Euclid Techlabs LLC.
At the end of this webinar, attendees will have a strong understanding of:
Dr. Mary Turner is a Technical Fellow in Optical Design for Edmund Optics. She has extensive design experience in a wide variety of optical systems including laser beam shaping, machine vision, spectrometers, telescopic systems, and projection systems. Mary received a Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and has past experience as a Senior Scientist for Zemax and Director of Training for the Breault Research Organization. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona College of Optical Sciences where she teaches optical design theory, optical design tools, and polarization device modeling.
Victoria Marcune is a Product Support Engineer for Edmund Optics. She specializes in laser optics and creates technical trainings and marketing content on various laser optics topics. Victoria received a B.S. in Physics from Temple University and worked in their Molecular Quantum Optics Laboratory, where she studied the changes in angular momentum of diatomic molecules during elastic collisions. Her work involved using laser systems to investigate these changes through the use of double resonance spectroscopy with polarized light.
Dr. Sergey Antipov is the founder of PALM Scientific, a high-precision laser microfabrication company serving the scientific community. PALM operates femtosecond, picosecond, nanosecond and microsecond laser systems with wavelengths from 206 - 1064 nm furnished with motorized optics and sample positioning hardware for processing of virtually any material. Sergey received his PhD in 2007 from Illinois Institute of Technology and performed his thesis work at the Argonne Wakefield Accelerator Facility. Sergey was a Director's Postdoctoral Fellow at Argonne National Laboratory from 2007 - 2009. From 2010 – 2021, he was the Director of Radiation Sources Department at Euclid Techlabs, a microwave engineering company, where he managed a portfolio of commercial and government-funded R&D projects. He has performed experimental work at Argonne, Brookhaven, and SLAC national laboratories.
We invite you to attend this 45-minute webinar on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 presented by various different companies who develop laser beam shaping technologies. Speakers will include representatives from Edmund Optics’ partners AdlOptica, Cailabs, and Holo/Or, among others.
