Gradient index (GRIN) technology has made these exciting instruments possible. GRIN relay lenses offer outstanding resolution and throughput and better optical alignment when compared to multi-lens plastic rod relay systems. The 40° field of view is flatter and higher in resolution than other scopes having 60, 75, or 100 degree fields. Although designed for close focus use, the focusing range for these instruments extends from 2mm to infinity. Borescope Kit includes Hawkeye® scope with focusable eyepiece, 90° mirror adaper tube, 6.75" illuminator handle (Krypton bulb) with 2 "AA" batteries, user's guide, rugged aluminum and ABS plastic carrying case.
Portable Xenon bulb illuminator is >10X brighter then the Krypton light source included in the borescope kits. High intensity light is rechargable (NiCd) and portable for maximum utility. NiCd battery provides 1 hour of continuous use (charge time is 10 hours). Bulb reaches 2540K color temperature at full intensity. 9.875" long. Weight 10.5 oz. Additional replacement bulbs, batteries, and carying case also available.
