Molded aspheres are optimal for focusing or collimating diode lasers. These lenses incorporate aspheric curvatures to reduce aberrations while eliminating the need for multiple elements. Specific design wavelengths range from 650nm to 780nm to accommodate popular production diode lasers. Higher numerical aperture optics allow for more efficient light collection from the diode and are appropriate for beam refocusing. Lower numerical aperture, longer focal length lenses yield better results for most collimation requirements.
Note: #49-164 is a finite conjugate design. BFL = 3.51mm and FFL = 24.57mm.
