Continously Variable Beamsplitters

The density (and film thickness) of these continuously variable neutral density filters varies linearly across each filter’s length. This is an excellent instrument for precise adjustments of spectrophotometers, monochromators, lasers, etc. Variable density beamsplitters may be used two at a time to control transmission of an optical beam up to 1" in diameter. The units are moved differentially to produce a smooth variation in the energy being transmitted.
