TECHSPEC® Gold Series Focusable Telecentric Lenses

Important tools for machine vision systems and metrology applications, telecentric lenses yield images from which precise measurements can be taken. We offer two series of TECHSPEC® Gold Series Focusable Telecentric Lenses, for either 2/3" or 1/2" format sensor sizes. The 2/3" Format Series includes 5 lenses and are for use with either 2/3" or smaller size sensors. The 1/2" Format Series includes 4 lenses and are for use with 1/2" or smaller size sensors. The new 1/2" series maximizes field coverage by matching the largest field of view values for the 2/3" series, which allows for larger fields with smaller cameras. These lenses yield constant magnification over a defined depth of field and are optimized to provide <0.2° telecentricity when used in the specified working distance range. Anywhere within the specified working distance, the same magnification can be obtained simply by refocusing. Because maximum field of view in telecentric systems directly relates to the lens aperture closest to the object, larger front lenses are necessary for larger fields of view.

All the TECHSPEC® Gold Series Focusable Telecentric Lenses have a front filter thread for the addition of color filters, polarizers, or other mounted components that optimize machine vision applications. Both the aperture and focusing adjustment positions can be fixed by set screws to remain secure in high vibration environments.

Due to size and weight, mounting clamps are recommended for all Telecentric lenses. Due to weight and center of gravity concerns, the 0.125X telecentric lens requires a mounting clamp and 0.08X telecentric lens includes mounting clamp (removable). Do not mount from camera. #56-025 Mounting Clamp can be used to mount our 0.5X and 0.36X TECHPEC® Gold Series Telecentric Lenses and 0.9X TECHPEC® High Precision Large Format 4 Megapixel Telecentric Lenses.
