Our Ellipsoidal Reflectors are precision polished, yielding exact aspheric profiles. Manufactured from fine-annealed Pyrex®, these mirrors offer improved thermal stability and superior focusing efficiency vs. commercially available press-molded reflectors. Two mirror coating options are available to choose from. Protected aluminum features broadband high reflection through the visible and IR spectra. The cold mirror coating reflects visible light while transmitting NIR (see typical reflectance curve), making it ideal for cold condensing applications.

Ellipsoidal mirrors have 2 focal points. When the light source is placed at the first focal point (f1), it will re-focus at f2. This property eliminates the need for other focusing components in an assembly, simplifying system design and integration.

Typical Applications Steppers for PCB, LCD, or PDP production, solar simulators, fiber optic illuminators, and projectors.
