The TECHSPEC® Telecentric Backlight Illuminator uses optics to direct light from a fiber optic light guide or LED onto an object, producing high contrast silhouette. The illuminator increases edge contrast and measurement accuracy with any imaging lens used in gauging applications by decreasing diffuse reflections from an object under backlight conditions that increase edge softening. The telecentric backlight illuminator, based on design principals from the Telecentric Measuring lenses, substantially increases illumination, compared to a standard backlight, at nominal working distances. Compatible with 1/4” fiber optic light guides or 0.312” LEDs.
Note: Unique twin-ring mounting clamps are also available separately.
