Zeiss EC Epiplan Neofluar® Brightfield/Darkfield Objectives

Featuring Zeiss’ unique ICS-Optics™ (Infinity Color-Corrected System) design, lateral chromatic aberration (LCA) is done in the tube lens, relieving the objective completely from LCA correction. This series of objectives is ideally suited for the examination of materials.

Note: No cover glass is required.

Appropriate for both transmitted and reflected light work, these objectives are optimized to provide high contrast and high-resolution images. All objectives are designed for both brightfield and darkfield illumination, with the exception of the 1.25x which only supports brightfield. The brightfield/darkfield objectives contain a ring-shaped concave mirror that directs the light rays at grazing incidence onto the sample surface. Due to their object-side telecentricity, all objectives are suitable for measuring purposes. Each objective is designed for a 164.5mm tube lens and has a 45mm parfocal length. Mounting thread: M27x0.75. The accessory tube lenses (#58-395 and #58-452) can be used to focus light from the infinity-corrected objective onto the image plane.

Mechanical adapter #59-345 is required to inspect samples in darkfield. The adapter consists of a set of mirrors, one of which contains an oval hole that reflects light towards the concave mirrors, of the objective and transmits light reflected from structures on the sample. #59-345 is compatible with the following Zeiss industrial microscopes: Axioskop 40 A POL, Axioskop 2 MAT, Axioplan 2 Imaging, Axiovert 40 MAT, Axiovert 200 MAT, Axio Imager A1m, Axio Imager D1m, Axio Imager M1m and Axio Imager Z1m.
