InfiniVar GS CentriTel® Video Microscope

The InfiniVar GS, featuring a patent-pending design, is a continuously-focusable infinity corrected microscope. The completely integrated main body assembly consists of the main body, camera mount, and a built in objective. Ideal for biological, forensic, and industrial applications, the InfiniVar GS focuses from 18mm to infinity, accepts 25mm filters, and has three possible magnification ranges, providing the adaptability needed for precision imaging. Designed for lab or assembly use, the InfiniVar GS is compatible with most machine vision or DSLR cameras, offering limitless capability and performance.

This second generation Infinivar GS features a number of upgrades compared to the previous version. Most notably, an infinity-corrected optical design allows for the separation of any of the three infinity lens tubes from the main body, enabling the use of experimental interfaces and dual port options including the mirror diverter and alternating dual cameras. The availability of multiple infinity lens tube lengths allows for matching the characteristics of a range of sensors and formats, up to a 35mm (24 x 36mm) sensor, increasing light throughput without affecting potential system resolution.

An integrated adjustable iris diaphragm provides depth of field and aperture control. Similar to the iris in a microscope’s condenser, the InfiniVar GS’s variable iris also allows for user control of contrast. After focusing, the variable iris is used to set the point in which contrast and resolution appear best matched. To control depth of field, adjust the distance between the InfiniVar GS and the object.

A mounting clamp with ¼-20 and M4 tapped holes is provided, enabling the InfiniVar GS to be secured to fixtures or positioners. Removing the mounting clamp and the T24 tube allows for the attachment of a stereo stand adapter and mounting to stands.

The main body assembly, infinity lens tube, and camera mount are required for operation.
