3-CCD Fixed Focal Length Lenses

These lenses have been specifically designed for use in three-chip color C-Mount cameras. Three chip cameras employ the use of a prism which places added physical and optical constraints on the lens. Designed to work with the prism directly behind the lens, this optical design prevents the lens from ever touching the prism, anywhere in the focus range. Using a 3 chip camera increases resolution over a same sized single chip color camera, because no interpolation of the color needs to be done, which would otherwise lower the final output resolution. The following lenses not only meet the strict criteria required for this format, but produce images of excellent quality as well. Covering up to a 1/2" sensor format camera, these lenses cover a larger sensor than much of the competition, while maintaining a high resolution across the full sensor field.
