Imaging Filters are used to isolate certain wavelengths or ranges of wavelengths from imaging systems for a variety of purposes. Imaging Filters consist of a range of optical filters such as color, bandpass, ND, or IR filters. Imaging Filters use a variety of substrates, coatings, or a combination of the two to block unwanted wavelengths while transmitting desired light. Imaging Filters are ideal options for transmitting or blocking specific wavelengths or wavelength ranges.

Edmund Optics offers a wide range of Imaging Filters suited for many imaging applications. Imaging Filters are used to increase contrast, separate color, or control camera exposure. Imaging Filters are useful for imaging scenarios where a single wavelength range is being used to illuminate an area, as in with an LED illuminator. The variety of optical filters offered is ideal for customizing an image system to an application. A variety of Imaging Filter accessories including filter holders, filter mounts, or filter adapters are also available.
