Sony FireWire.B Cameras

Sony’s XCD FireWire.B cameras combine high speed and high resolution in a small package to deliver more data in shorter time than was previously possible. The FireWire.B bus increases bandwidth 2 fold over standard FireWire.A to allow higher frame rates at full resolution, or to daisy chain multiple cameras, and increase the number of cameras on a single bus. Frame rates of 90 fps at VGA resolution (640x480) and 15 fps at 2MP are available. Preprocessing done on the camera, through a look up table, allows adjustment of the image values without extra processing time of the CPU. The Bus Synchronization allows multiple cameras to capture a frame all the same instant, and the Memory shot function enables the cameras to transfer the image into memory, until the bus is cleared, to allow transfer to the PC. Each camera includes driver, SDK (downloadable), and 1/4-20 adapter plate. Firewire.B cable and optional power supply (59-199) sold separately.
