High Speed Current Amplifier

These pre-amplifier modules are current-to-voltage conversion amplifiers used to amplify small currents from a photodiode or photomultiplier with very low noise. #59-178 is a two stage low-noise transimpedance amplifier featuring switchable AC/DCcoupling, adjustable bias voltage and offset, switchable 10Hz lowpass filter (for low-noise DC measurements) and the capability of manual and opto-isolated remote control. #59-179 is a two-stage high-speed transimpedance amplifier featuring switchable AC/DC-coupling, adjustable offset for baseline crection, adjustable bias voltage for use with fast photodiodes, switchable 20 MHx and 1 MHz low pass filters and the capability of manual and opt-isolated remote control.

Each of these modules has BNC input and out put connections for easy integration with a data acquisition system or oscilloscope and detector. This makes system design and configuration effortless with using detectors with a BNC connection.
