Aspheric ManufacturingEdmund Optics' new state-of-the-art environmentally controlled aspheric manufacturing cell houses advanced aspheric grinding and polishing capability coupled with MRF finishing technology. This new capability allows us to produce high departure aspheric geometries that can be manufactured rapidly and cost effectively in glass, ceramic or crystalline materials.

World-class metrology platforms are integrated and networked into each machine to perform real time in process error correction dramatically reducing iterative, time consuming manufacturing steps.

The new manufacturing cell targets customers interested in rapid prototypes to medium volume requirements.
