Summary
The Intranet Developer provides software support in the design, development, testing, and implementation of web-based applications, web pages, web sites and Intranet applications. Provides/aides in design, development, testing, implementation and support of software for service-related functions (engineering, marketing, sales, regional offices, etc.)..
Duties
- Designs, develops, integrates, supports and maintains all components of web-based applications servicing the company Intranet.
- Maintains Webserver with Network Administrator. Work with server ODBC connections.
- Works with Director of IS & other Managers in establishing & executing company goals for Intranet future development of applications.
- Directly responsible for managing the prioritization and execution of the intranet development project list.
- Works with members of IS team in developing applications that involve operations software (I.e.: M2M)
- Coordinates deliveries of project milestones with other company employees to ensure release dates are met. (Inter-department project management of software/application development) Updates and maintains documentation for all applications developed.
- Creates monthly reports on Intranet statistics & development status.
- Manage changes and Intranet security.
- Recommends changes and upgrades to IS related hardware and systems software to meet growth needs of the company.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 years experience in programming or a related field
- Minimum Associates/BS in an associated field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of web design and e-commerce
- Knowledge or familiarity of computer systems and programming languages including HTML, Javascript, Cold Fusion, SQL, Windows NT/2000 and other internet/intranet technologies
- Ability to utilize software such as: Cold Fusion Studio, WebTrends, SQL Enterprise Manager, MS Office, Photoshop
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and edit code created by others and ability to create new code.
- Must possess a willingness to flex scheduled hours to achieve program milestones.
- Understanding of database concepts including relational databases & ODBC connectivity
- Good communication and organizational skills
